SoHud Block Watch

The SoHud Block Watch began in October 2012, following a community meeting that was set up regarding graffiti and vandalism. They are strongly committed to building a sense of community, to working on civic issues like upkeep of properties, and to maintaining the warm, friendly feel that they've worked hard to build.

The Necko Neighborhood

The NECKO neighborhood, a section of the historic E.J. McMillen Homestead Addition, is a part of the Near North Side Historic District as designated in the Historic Register in 1980. It is recognized as a locally significant example of an early 20th century residential neighborhood in Columbus.

University Community Business Association

The University Community Business Association (UCBA) was founded in December 1984 to address the economic development and sustainability concerns facing businesses in the University District. Through organization and communication, the UCBA strives to be a collective advocate for business needs and an intermediary between the City of Columbus, Ohio State, and other entities.

University District Organization

Primarily a planning organization, the University District Organization acts as a liaison between the City of Columbus, the Ohio State University, and University District neighborhoods to coordinate community improvement projects.

Weinland Park Community Civic Association

The mission and purpose of the Weinland Park Community Civic Association is to proactively engage all community stakeholders in working together to improve the quality of life in the Weinland Park neighborhood.

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is the regional public transit provider for greater Columbus and Central Ohio. We serve an area with more than 1.2 million residents and help people take more than 19 million trips every single year.

City Service Request

The call center acts as the single point of contact for requesting all non-emergency public services and is available to residents, City businesses and visitors.

Code Enforcement

We improve the quality of life in Columbus neighborhoods through implementation and enforcement of the City's Housing, Zoning, Graphics, Health, Sanitation, and Safety Codes.

Columbus Area Commissions

With more than 200 neighborhoods and over 900,000 people, Columbus is a big place to keep tabs on. That’s why the City of Columbus empowers neighbors to create resident-based recommending bodies to review certain projects and serve as a voice for the community.

Columbus City Council

City Council is the legislative branch of the City with the responsibility of adopting annual operating and capital budgets, city contracts and enacting the Columbus City Codes. Council also establishes land use policy through its zoning powers.

University Impact District Review Board

The University Impact District Review Board was established to preserve, protect and enhance the urban environment and neighborhood characteristics of the University Area and specifically discharge these duties within the University Impact District.
